The artwork is about low wages around the world, which do not allow for a dignified life. At a time when the cost of living is rising enormously, wages are stagnating. This becomes clear when you take a closer look at the signs that the figures are holding. With calls such as "Living wage for all" or "Raise the minimum wage", the artist calls on everyone to fight for higher wages.
Blaise Vernyuy was born in Cameroon and developed a passion for drawing at an early age. As an artist, he focuses on Afro-abstract figurative paintings that incorporate symbolic elements of African culture and short texts from heads of state and protest movements. Blaise Vernyuy has participated in various exhibitions and hopes that his art will remind world leaders of their obligations and inspire people to work for a better world. His motto is: "Ordinary people become extraordinary by doing extraordinary things". Find out more about the artist Blaise Vernyuy here .
