Johan Alberts

Johan Alberts was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1976. From a young age he loved creating art. He was a lecturer in stage painting and design at the Tshwane University of Technology for 12 years. Since 2019 Johan Alberts has focused entirely on creating art.

His latest art series is entitled "Diversity vs. Homogeneity" and examines differences and similarities in ethnicity, culture, religion and other areas. The works comment on emancipation, strength, immortality, beauty and pain, with the aim of promoting inclusion. Johan deliberately highlights prejudice and promotes unity by changing and reinterpreting well-known works of art. The series celebrates diversity and a homogenized society through art.
