This work is from Johan Alberts' "Homogenise" series. With this series he addresses "diversity vs. homogeneity" and consciously wants to expose prejudices and promote unity. In his art he explores the differences and similarities in terms of ethnicity, culture and religion with the aim of promoting inclusion. He does this by adding African portraits to classic Eurocentric works by famous painters. Through his works Johan Alberts wants to question and renew the homogeneity in our society. 

Johan Alberts loved creating art from a young age. After teaching stage painting and design for 12 years, he focused entirely on creating art in 2019. “Homogenise” is his latest art series that celebrates diversity
