Patrick Kasaira

Patrick Kasaira is an artist from Zimbabwe who specializes in the technique of welding. 

Patrick's uncle had already recycled and repurposed old cans and discarded iron. Patrick was fascinated by this craft from a young age. A school course on metals and the art of welding further developed the young African's skills. After graduating from school, he immediately began to depict the African bird world in sculptures made from scrap iron. 

Since then, he has expanded his horizons to include other animals. Patrick mainly uses recycled metal oil drums and car parts that he collects at scrap yards for his works. 

Patrick now uses sophisticated techniques, such as arc welding, to create his unique works of art.
