Like the moon, life has different phases that we must go through. It is important to find a connection between all the phases because this gives us a deeper understanding of who we are. The "Phases of the Moon" series by artist Linnea Frank consists of seven artworks, each depicting the different phases of the moon. The work is printed on Dibond metal to give it a very special effect. A sub-frame is attached to the back of the artwork, making it look like it is floating 20 mm from the wall.
Linnea Frank is a Swedish-born artist who now lives in Cape Town. Her work as a photographer brought her to art. The motifs for her prints are created from various photographs, which she then puts together to create a work of art. When she moved to South Africa, many of her works were influenced by African symbolism and imagery. You can find more information about the artist Linnea Frank here .
This extraordinary work of art transports the inimitably powerful pulse of a modern Africa into your rooms. This spirit can unfold not only in your living room, but also in your office, your waiting room or your agency. We select all exhibits directly from Africa because we want to act as ambassadors for contemporary artists living in Africa. In order to give something back to nature in Africa, we donate a portion of every purchase to selected African animal protection projects.
All our works can be viewed and picked up at the SOUL OF AFRIKA gallery at Lindwurmstraße 157, 80337 Munich.
