The artist Sarah Danes Jarrett has always worked on people and faces. She loves the reflections of the skin and the confrontational eyes that tell a story that the artist cannot put into words. Her style is paradoxically chaotic and controlled, as broad and aggressive brushstrokes form soft curves with sharp edges. She does not use colors that do not resemble the skin and very large formats to break the barriers of intimacy.

Sarah Danes Jarrett grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to South Africa after completing her studies. After 15 years in the design industry, she devoted herself exclusively to art on canvas. Sarah Danes Jarrett is now considered one of the best naturalistic artists in the country and became world famous with her large-format portraits.
